When all your friends are going to Sydney for Mardi Gras

Gay, Flag, Parade

Somehow I’ve ended up as the only gay in the village that didn’t organise a Sydney excursion for Mardi Gras. So staring into a weekend with no plans and missing out on all the Mardi Gras shenanigans I’ve had to think outside the box and refresh myself on what Brisbane has to offer.

Balls out Bingo at Sporties 7pm on Friday Night to kick off the weekend. Don’t forget your PrEP Jockstrap.

Im going to fax my MP in support of Marriage Equality ( I won’t be doing the actual faxing, the team over at The Equality Campaign will be doing all the hard work).

Rewatch Hurricane Bianca on Netflix and be thankful it’s illegal to be fired for your sexuality here.

Follow the Parade on the dedicated snapchat story.

Out on Sunday at the Wickham is still on for anyone who hasn’t left the state. But make sure you’re home by 8:30 to watch the Mardi Gras 2017 highlights of the parade on SBS, hosted by Patrick Abboud, Faustina Agolley, Joel Creasey & Em Rusciano.

Keep calm and wait for Brisbane Pride Festival in September.
Are you doing any of these things? Let me know in the comments.
